About ACDI

Access Control Devices, Inc. (ACDI) is a software company that provides business intelligence solutions, print management solutions, and EV charging solutions to business in education, healthcare, legal, enterprise, and more.

Headquartered in Benton, AR, ACDI has a rather unique office building for the area. With a handful of remote employees around the US covering all regions, and a large presence in Canada and Latin America, ACDI has a wide footprint. They’re the #1 vendor for the Austrailian print management software, PaperCut.

What I Provided

As Video & Motion Graphics Designer for ACDI, I use visual design and video to communicate an idea, concept, or story, often working with business teams to develop a solution that captivates their intended audience. I’m actively involved in brainstorming, and coming up with custom graphics that transmit ideas across digital platforms.

I get the opportunity to create highly engaging complex animations for a diverse array of media, including smartphones, tablets, and the web. My experience and expertise in brand identity development and management plays a key role in my position, as it’s more often than not that projects I’m working on are pioneering new products and services.

This role includes:

• Work with copywriters, and designers to understand the project scope and objectives.

• Assist in the creation of animation storyboards and motion graphics concepts.

• Participate in brainstorming sessions to share new design perspectives and ideas.

• Provide accurate time estimates for each part of the process.

• Assist in selecting appropriate audio, graphic, and animation styles for the project.

• Encoding, converting, and editing videos and adding effects/elements to enhance motion graphics.

• Keep abreast of advancements in animation and new technologies and techniques, contemporary trends in production design, and popular music to deliver cutting-edge work.

• Maintain a complete understanding of and adhere to all ACDI policies, procedures, and processes.

• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Motion Graphics

My position at ACDI has given me an opportunity to really expand my animation skills through custom animations for products and video styles. Every project I’ve worked on has at least one element of hand-made, unique animation that follows and enhances the current brand identity. You’ll see these sprinkled throughout the other videos on this page!

Copy That! | ACDI News

One of the biggest continuous projects I’ve introduced to ACDI has been a bi-weekly video news brief called “Copy That! | ACDI News”.

Starting in February of 2022 with Summer Jones as the host, and still running strong with Zach Parker taking over the host position, Copy That! brings the latest happenings at ACDI and industry news to the imaging channel (our industry) through fun, bite-sized videos. With over 50 episodes released so far (most of which have multiple language translations for our Latin American division), I try to introduce something fun, goofy, or technically interesting in every episode.
